How can we support baby talk?

With a couple of principles in mind, and some fun and some practice, we can let their language grow into rich and sophisticated skills. See the blue box below for more detail.

Have you ever made a silly noise for your baby? Or shown interest in a sound they made? Then you have already started their journey towards literacy. Your sounds, words and facial expressions are their inspiration.

Is babbling important?

Yes! It represents the first snow flake in a process that grows and grows into an enormous snowball representing ease in self-expression and comprehension of others. And, we know it is easier for children to learn and socialize when they can communicate effectively with their teachers and peers.

What will we do?

Your host will guide you through simple play activities that are designed using what we know from language development research.

We make silly noises together and play simple games, we strip back distractions, and we get into the detail of their attention and focus, whilst all the time modelling language in the most powerful way.

It might feel really easy, like we're just doing silly stuff. After class you will get an email explaining the power of everything you did. It is epic!
